Pre-Procedure Advice and Instruction

  1. Since delicate skin or sensitive areas may slightly swell or redden, it is advisable not to make social plans for the same day.
  2. Please wear your normal make-up to the procedure. If you are having your brows or lips done, please bring your favorite pencil or lipstick.
  3. If unwanted hair is normally removed in the area to be treated, i.e.; tweezing, threading,  or waxing, the hair removal should be done at least 48 hours prior to procedure. Electrolysis should not be done within five days of the procedure. Do not resume any method of hair removal for 2-3 weeks after procedure.
  4. For eyeliner appointments: if you use Latese or any other lash growing serums, please stop using 7 days prior to your appointment and refrain from continued use at least 2 weeks after your procedure.
  5. If eyelashes and/or eyebrows are normally tinted, do not have it done within 48 hours of your procedure. Wait 2-3 weeks after your eyeliner and/or brow procedure before tinting lashes and/or brows.
  6. If you wear contact lenses and are having eyeliner done, do not wear your contact lenses to your procedure appointment and do not replace them until 24 hours after the procedure.
  7. If you are having eyeliner procedure done, as a safety precaution, in case of watery eyes or swelling, we recommend that you have someone available or accompany you, who could drive you home if you decide to do so, or if it necessary.
  8. If you are having a lip procedure done and have EVER had a cold sore, fever blister, herpes simplex or mouth ulcers, the procedure is likely to cause an outbreak. You will be required to contact your physician to obtain the proper prescription for outbreaks (Zovirax or equivalent). Start doses at least 3 days prior and continue for one week after procedure.
  9. We recommend allergy testing of the red pigment (lip or skin tone pigments) one week before the planned procedure.
  10. Do not use Niacin, Vitamin E, aspirin or ibuprofen for 7 days prior to your procedure and 2 days after any procedure. This can cause excessive bleeding.
  11. If you have Botox treatments, wait two (2) months before and after procedure.
  12. If you are having Hair-Stroke brows done, some have mentioned the sound of Microblading could be bothersome, please feel free to bring your own music with earbuds.
  13. Refrain from alcohol consumption 24 hours before procedure.
  14. Do not exercise the day of your appointment.
  15. Do not drink any caffeinated beverages the day of your appointment.
  16. Refrain from judgment altering drugs for at least 24 hours prior to any procedure. No medications should be discontinued without first consulting your physician.
  17. Note that some may be more sensitive if they are on their menstrual cycle.
  18. Do not have a tan or sunburned face.

What to Expect at Your Appointment

Your treatment will begin with a consultation in our relaxation lounge discussing the shape, design and the color of your preference to ensure a first class result! Once you have decided the shape and color that you would like, we will begin the numbing process. Our numbing process is as good as it gets, we use top of the line topical anesthetics to maximize your comfort. Some clients are so relaxed they even fall asleep during the procedure. While numbing, you will have some in-take forms to fill out and sign.

We will then move into the treatment room and begin the permanent cosmetic process.

Post Procedure Instructions

FAILURE TO FOLLOW POST-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS MAY CAUSE LOSS OF PIGMENT, DISCOLORATION, OR INFECTION.

Immediately Following Cosmetic Procedure:

Redness and swelling is normal for a few days. Apply Ice in a clean sanitary bag to treated area for  no more than 10 minutes at a time every 30 minutes to reduce swelling if needed.

CALL ME AT THE FIRST SIGN OF ANY ABNORMAL INFLAMMATION/SWELLING OR POSSIBLE INFECTION AT 209-640-7895 OR CALL YOUR HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONAL.

If lips breakout in fever blisters, you will need to get a prescription immediately.

For 14 days following Cosmetic Tattoo Procedure:

  1. Sparingly apply the aftercare ointment 3-4 times daily for 14 days.
  2. Do not expose treated area to the direct sun the first 14 days. Use sunglasses, hats and/or chapstick with at least a 30 spf sunscreen. Use sunscreen for the rest of your life on treated area.
  3. You may apply makeup around treated area 48 hours after procedure. Remove with Vaseline or antibacterial soap. If using mascara after an eyeliner procedure, be sure to use a new tube, our mascara tubes are full of bacteria.
  4. Absolutely no cleansing creams or chemicals directly on treated area until healing is complete (30 days). Gently cleanse area with a mild antibacterial soap. Rinse by splashing with water and lightly pat dry, wait 15 minutes then apply healing balm sparingly.
  5. No rubbing, scrubbing, picking or scratching the treated area. If area itches, take something like Benadryl at night to prevent scratching in your sleep and gently rub Vaseline or antibiotic ointment on with a clean q-tip. Scratch around area or lightly tap. Scabs that are picked off and that are not ready to come off naturally will pull color out of that area and leave uneven spots that will need touching up.
  6. Do not pick at the epithelial crust during the healing process or it can remove color.
  7. Do no expose treated area to full pressure of the water in the shower or immerse in chlorinated pool. Cover treated area with Vaseline or after care ointment before exposing to water.
  8. Use caution when applying hair products (hairspray, etc.).
  9. For lips procedures, be careful eating salty, spicy foods. Lips will be chapped for a few weeks.
  10. Do not exercise or perform activities that will result in excessive sweating.

Remember that colors appear brighter, darker, and more sharply defined immediately following the procedure. As the healing progresses, color will soften  (30-40 percent ) and look more natural.

Failure to follow Post Procedure Instructions may cause loss of pigment, discoloration, and/or infection. Results are not guaranteed.
