Maybe you can relate..saggy eyelids, loose skin, hooded eyes…

Entering my 40’s, I started to notice more and more how my eyes were looking smaller and smaller. Often in photos, I wondered if I even had my eyes open. Both my mom and dad have an excess amount of saggy skin on their eyelids, giving them a hooded look and I was seeing my future very clearly.

I started doing some research and considering having Blepharoplasty (a type of surgery that repairs droopy eyelids and may involve removing excess skin, muscle and fat.). While doing my research, I ran across a procedure I have never seen before, Plasmathethics.

Plasmasthetics, a revolutionary NON SURGICAL lift treatment that is highly effective and a remarkable alternative to surgery.  It has been being done in Europe for years but was virtually unheard of in the United States.

Plasmathetics is a holistic approach and works by stimulating the contraction of skin fibres instantly through a so-called ‘plasma flash’. This flash – from a hand-held device with a tiny tip – evaporates superficially on the skin at a tiny point, which shrinks the skin around the eyelid. Further points are placed in a grid across the skin’s surface, pulling the skin tighter.

I was intrigued…..

With lots of research in the actual procedure of Plasmathetics, I decided I wanted to go this route in tightening my eyelids. Now to find a trust worthy technician that offers this service. And because I often have clients ask me, “Can you give me a face lift?”, I think this treatment would go hand in hand with the services I already offer.

Fast forward almost a year of doing research, I found an amazing husband and wife team that would do my procedure and also certify me so I would be able to offer this service to my clients. I was so excited!!!!

On October 2, 2018 I had my non-surgical eyelid treatment done and the very next day started my certification course.

I journaled and took several photos throughout my procedure and the days preceding capturing my healing process. Throughout the past couple years I have shared my photos and experience with many during a consultation process. I often had GOOD intentions of doing this….writing a blog to share with all, so finally HERE GOES 🙂

The Process

So here I will share with you a day by day process of having the Plasmathetics Eyelid lift procedure…no secrets, the real deal, full disclosure!

October 2, 2018 1:00 ~ Appointment Time

I had already had a thorough consultation before my scheduled procedure but still had 4 pages of paper work to fill out, including medical history and a disclosure and consent form.

Personal disclosure: at age of procedure I am 44.5 years of age

Then came the loose skin test…

Pinch Test:
When skin is pinched and does not immediately go back into place, it is a sure sign that you have loose skin and are a good candidate for this procedure

Before we could get started with the actual procedure I took a 45 minute nap while the topical anesthetic did its job…but first I snuck a photo 🙂

One of the BIG things I considered when deciding to do Plasmathetics rather then having Blepharoplasty was not having to go under anesthesia and a scalpel.

Let’s get the tightening started!!!! The actual treatment started just a little after 2:00 and I was able to take a short video so you can see what actually happens.

Take note of the ‘plasma-flash’ in the video, this is where we are shrinking the skin, one flash at a time!

Me immediately after procedure

Wow, instantly my skin is no longer touching/hanging over my lashes! I can actually see my upper eyeliner now! I was already so thrilled with my results, especially knowing over the next 30 days I will continue to see improvement.

So a very common question I get is, “Does it hurt?”

Simple answer, I personally thought it hurt more getting my eyebrows waxed (which I clearly needed to do when looking at these photos, haha).

I am not saying it’s painless but as I am writing this 3 years later, I remember it not really hurting very much at all…maybe like someone poking you with the end of a paperclip.

Below are photos throughout the next weeks showing my various stages of healing.

Next morning, 7am (approximatley 16 hours after treatment). Swelling with any treatment is usually worse in the mornings
This photo is at 9:45 am, starting to get a little fluid pocket on the lower eye (normal)
This is still the next day, in the evening, 6 pm (approximately 27 hours after treatment)
This is still the next day, in the evening, 6 pm (approximately 27 hours after treatment)
2 days post treatment, October 4 at 10 am, approximately 42 hours after treatment). This was the peak of my swelling.
2 days post treatment, October 4 at 10 pm, approximately 54 hours after treatment). Swelling subsiding
October 9 at 10:45 am, a week after treatment.
Swelling is gone and so are most of the scabs
October 9 at 10:45 am, a week after treatment. Swelling is gone and so are most of the scabs. I cant get over how much tighter my skin is!!!!
2 weeks post treatment

Since then, I am still very happy with my results and have made several clients extremely happy with their non-surgical eyelid lifts.

If you’re looking a little tired, becoming conscious of your laughter lines, falling out of love with your sagging eyelids or simply wanting a fresher look, then Plasmasthetics could be the treatment for you.

Plasmasethics skin tightening is a fantastic anti-aging solution for those who don’t want to go under the knife and are looking for a different solution that is also more affordable.

  • Virtually a pain free treatment
